We advocate for and promote the development, coordination, and implementation of older adult services in Sonoma County. Members of SCSOA abide by the following standards of conduct which together comprise our Code of Ethics. Participating members and their clients are encouraged to contact the SCSOA Leadership Committee if questions of ethical or professional standards arise in your interactions with a member.

Integrity and Professional Conduct SCSOA members will maintain and promote high standards of professional conduct, demonstrating courtesy, respect, honesty, and fairness in all interpersonal dealings, and encompassing both individual and social good above and beyond the requirements of the law.

Confidentiality SCSOA members are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive personal and medical information obtained during a client engagement in accordance with the requirements and expectations of their profession.

Competence and Commitment SCSOA members adhere to the standards set by their profession. Continuing professional development is an ongoing objective for individual SCSOA members and for SCSOA as a whole.
