Richard Lenson Medical Cannabis Growing Evidence for Treatment of Many ConditionsMedical Cannabis, Growing Evidence for Treatment of Many Conditions With 17 states legalizing cannabis for medical treatment, there is growing medical evidence of the role cannabis can play in illness and in health. So why is there continued federal resistance and still lack of public support. In our ten minutes of discussion, we can begin to explore these issue. The presention will focus on using medical cannabis as treatment for chronic illnesses such as depression, arthritis, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, gastrointestinal problems and and dermatologic diseases.

Mitcho Thompson Reclaiming Cannibis“Reclaiming Cannibis” Mitcho Thompson, Community Liaison for the nonprofit collective, Peace in Medicine, will give a brief history of canabis as medicine, and explain the many traditional and newer forms of cannabis medicine focusing on non-smoking forms of ingestion.

Sarah Shrader, Save Access Advocate

sarah-shraderSarah Shrader is a legal assistant for E.D. Lerman and teaches Politics and History at Oaksterdam University. Sarah spent over 5 years working for in Northern California as a community liaison for the largest non profit organizations supporting medical cannabis patients, Americans for Safe Access she gained first hand knowledge on how collectives operate and facilitate patients access to Medical Cannabis. She remains active seated on the San Francisco Board of supervisor appointed Medical Cannabis Task force, recommending changes to the board on local laws relating to medical cannabis and is volunteer coordinator for the Sonoma Chapter of Americans for Safe Access.
