The Hummingbird Project @ Sage Eldercare Solutions
What is The Hummingbird Project?
The Hummingbird Project is a team of trained professionals solely dedicated to enhancing client quality of life- each individuals emotional, creative and spiritual needs. We create activity plans that are individualized to reflect the unique personality, life history, interests and abilities of each client. As care teams provide quality of care, we come alongside them to provide quality of life enriching experiences. Many of our team members are licensed creative arts or recreation therapists.
Our program includes:
One-on-one in home sessions with an activity specialist (typically 2 hours once a week)
Planned and supervised cultural outings
Therapeutic activity kits
Caregiver training (professional or family)
Virtual Video or Telephone Sessions: Using Zoom, Facetime, etc., The Hummingbird Project offers cultural activities such as guided virtual museum tours, live musical concerts and art lessons. The program’s Activity Specialists also provide opportunities to engage in legacy or oral history projects, lifelong learning about topics of interest, expressions of gratitude, spiritual devotion, verbal brain games, storytelling and much more.
